SCHOOL KID CLIMATE PROTESTERS 02/19/2019 Many of my own generation strongly condemn the school kid climate protesters. Perhaps typifying the attitude of my own generation is Australia’s Prime Minister, Scott Morrison, who commented of the school children climate protesters “What we want is more learning in schools and less activism in schools.”(1) Australia’s resource minister, Matt Canavan, capped this with the comment “The best thing you’ll learn about at a protest is how to join the dole (unemployment/social security) queue.”(2)

AERA PERNICIOSIUS - THE AGE OF EXTINCTION 02/12/2019 This current geological age, the Anthropocene era, denotes an epoch during which human activity has been the dominant influence on the environment and the climate. Perhaps a better expression would be "aera perniciosius" (destructive era).
